Meet Park Martian!
Instructions: Encourage people to use outdoor park facilities.
Roles: Illustrator, Campaign Manager
Programs: Adobe Illustrator

One of my longest standing projects, Park Martian was created in an effort to get kids and families outside during the pandemic. Originally, I pitched an idea to the Department of Parks and Recreation in my hometown, which was to have a hide-and-seek game incorporating posters with this character spread across all of the public grounds, including several parks, hiking paths, and nature reserves. Those that found all the hidden posters and submitted photos would be entered into raffles and giveaways. Over the course of several years, this is what the the look that Park Martian has developed into, highlighted by a campaign to bring NASA moon tree to our town! Here are some pieces of content involved with the campaign, including giveaway items, stickers, posters, and more:

Why a martian you may ask? My hometown was actually a part of the story The War of the Worlds by H.G. Wells, so there is a little bit of space history in our town. Every year, people visit the Grover's Mill site for a reciting of the event, so I had to involve a space-like character when making a campaign for our town. Check out some of my first sketches that built this campaign originally design with a covid mask (shoutout 2020):
